Last Night the House witnessed an act of juvenile naivety condoned I suspect by those who should have known better.
Their actions have laid waste to one of the houses finest nights of the week looked forward to by so many, yes Monday quiz night.
Not since the Captain Pugwash and his dubious brother’s charade many moons ago have we been exposed to such blatant cheating.
If it were above board and it wasn’t it would have been a testament to Lodge Park Schools educational curriculum that teaches our children such breadth of knowledge that encompasses an awareness of Kenneth Williams ,Peter Shilton and The Searchers to name but a few and an in depth understanding of current affairs ,science and Geography that would certainly warrant a challenge to the Eggheads !
Unfortunately without access to the answer sheet their performance deteriorated significantly and they failed to identify the capital city of Scotland.
Even the Crooner could have gotten that one right wouldn’t He ?
Not to knock the youngsters who would have seen it as a prank but serious condemnation on their peers who by condoning and encouraging cheating are setting a very bad example to these kids.
It’s a shame that 2½ years of competitive and good natured banter quiz should have to come to an end this way.

The governess posed the question which was the more childish
the act of cheating or the blogging of the act ?
Why no competition and come to think of it what a silly question
Cheating for any reason and particularly when money is the motive is fundamently wrong!!
nothing childish about it and to denounce it (even when written tongue in cheek style)
is neither childish nor is it wrong.
Publish and be dammed. ;-)
